That was because through your obsession for him at one time,
he thought you was with him forever and had you wrap around his finger. He at one time had you where he wanted and never thought you had the guts to dump him. His ideal that you still like him is because he feels like he can get you back anytime and that your love for him is still there. So if you are down to earth
girlfriend and serious leave the relationship close and move on to the next level. You will be glad that you did.

My advice to you would be to avoid him as much as possible. Eventually he will get the point. If you have to come in contact with him don't initiate conversation if possible and try not to make any eye contact. If you have to just tell him then do so.

Try to not be where ever he is. If you are he will think it's because
you are making time to be where he is. If you have to be around
him for some reason, don't let on that he is there. Be quiet and
let him see that you are not looking for his attention. If he speaks just answer & walk away.

Stop talking to him. Dont flirt with him. Dont smile while talking to him. Dont have anything to do with him. If he talks to you ignore him. Ask a teacher to keep him away from you. Get a boyfriend. Find new friends to hang out with.

I'm in the same situation!!!!!!!!! There's this guy at my school and I DON'T LIKE HIM AT ALL......well he thinks that I'm obsessed with him.anyways.....ignore him.....don't talk to him or anything

hmmm, that happened with me once. show that you are interested in someone else... but if you aren't keep you distance from him... dont act like you cant stand him, but give him some space. hopefully he will het the hint. =] Good Luck! =]
