We can now create whole new species...play "God". Actually, we have created new species already...so why did the designer let his creation become the creator?

You just misunderstood the situation.

To create is to make something out of nothing, that's the creation process and that's what Allah has done when He created all the universe out of nothing at all, but what happened is just a modification which Allah ordered us not to do but also gave us a free will to choose.
So don't shuffle the cards.

what kind of pills are you on.? Since when did man successfully cross an ape and a peach? If you mention cloning, I could have bought it. But to cross breed a fruit and an animal is far fetched. Besides, what do you hope to accomplish by this.? Just because the peach is fuzzy doesn't mean it came from the ape. And what new species have we created? You might be talking about inventions, not
creations. Apparently, you're a big mistake
of all creations.

God gave us the plants and animals. We have stewardship over the earth. We are of course to use it wisely and reverently. Crossing two fruits is not creating in the ultimate sense. When the Bible speaks of God creating something ( for example Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth") the Hebrew word used for "created" is bera which specifically means to create something from nothing. No one but God has ever done that.

Hey, according to your beliefs...

If god were real, he wouldn't care...

Because he knows everything, he knew we would do this, and he still made us anyway...

So, really, he wants us to...

Well since god knows everything, that would be the case, but that conflicts with the other description of god that says he is all good and perfect.

If he made someone, knowing that he'd become a murderer, and he still made him anyway, that would say that god was condoning that murder...

If he is perfect, then that cant be, because he is supposed to be all good too. And if he was condoning that murder, he either wanted that murder to happen, because he is perfect and nothing can turn out any other way than the way he intended, or he isn't good, because murder is a "sin"...

Somethings gotta give... Or god isn't real...

Because he knows everything, anything we do, whether it's bad or good, he wanted us to do, because he still made us anyway, right?

But he still made the terrorists, and murderers, and rapists too, so he must have wanted them to happen, right?

So, either he isn't all knowing, or he isn't perfect/all good.

This means that the definition of the god in the bible contradicts itself...

The very descriptions of god from the bible contradict themselves.

Therefore, the god of the bible doesn't exist...

God is the sole creator of the inner spirit within your human body and that spirit is eternal now. The body is nothing but a physical container and upon death the spirit leaves. This is a physical world and man can and does manipulate the physical elements but God's realm is the spiritual and man will and can never manipulate that domain. It does not shake my faith when science does things in this physical world for ultimately God will and does prevail. God is Spirit and should be worshiped in the spirit. Our future is in a spiritual world not the physical worldly that we see today.

Great question.I don't think decoding the genome was easy.I am also not sure that mixing up DNA from existing organisms is creating new species. It is more like we are altering existing species.I would love to see the peach/ape though.

We are made in His image and His is the Creator, that is why we are like Him and we are creative. But we use all of God's stuff to create. Let me see you make something out of nothing.

You're far out there, man.

Show me where anyone has crossed an ape and a peach. By all means, please quote a tabloid.

The only genetic altering weve done is within KINDS. Lion and tiger are both CATS. Horse and donkey are both EQUINES. Crops don't cross with non-crops.

we have free will, He knew that we would be smart, we are made in His own image. Therefore, we are free to do as we like, but He leads us down the path of goodness, when we take matters in our own hands we must face the consequences from those matters, and anything that is not for God is against God.

because he gave us free will and curiosity. and we really can't cross an ape and a peach, and we wouldn't want to. there would be no use for such a creature.
