Britain is a country of immigrants after all who can say that they are 100% British and that none of the ansesters are from another country? Britain needs immigrants especially in medical professions there is such a shortage of skilled educated workers. Most people born here think it should all be given to them because they were born here but they don't work or try to get a good education which is provided for them. Illigal immigrants should be cracked down on because they are a burdon on society and cause a lot of potential problems such as crime, terrorism and disease. Look at Dublin T.B. has doubled in the last year because of illigal immigrants who haven't been vacinated. I wouldn't agree to an out right ban on immigrants but definately on those who enter the country illigaly.

I would be highly delighted. Here in the UK, we are almost at breaking point. With immigration the way it is,its inevitable that there is going to be civil unrest. It must be stopped,or at the very least, slowed down considerably. Yes, I would consider voting for a party that promised to end the immigration nonsense. But that's NOT to say,I would vote BNP.UKIP (United Kingdom Independance Party) would take us OUT of Europe, enabling us to close our borders, which will, hopefully reduce the flow of immigrants. Its common sense, not racism!!!!!

Yes I would because I want the government to start making sure all he people who are ALREADY living here have decent jobs, homes and enough to live off, inestead of ignoring British people and trying to overwhelm this country by giving freebies to foreigners
We do not have the space or the jobs or the housing for all these immigrants and there are enough people here to fill all the jobs (in fact there are not enough jobs, thats why we have nearly 2 milion unemployed). The Government needs to start giving a shite about its own people instead of just inviting more and more in.
There are plenty of British living in poverty and finding it hard to get a job or somewhere to live without inviting loads of foreigners in to make it even harder for them.
OH and as far as native British people being laxy and not bothered - I'm a university Graduate and have to work in a callcentre because there are hardly any Graduate jobs out there - I work with several other graduates and they all feel as pissed off as I do. We do not need more people in this country until everyone who is already here has a decent standard of life!!!

RELIEVED! My vote for this person would depend on what they promised to do about the ones already here. I assume you are speaking of illegal immigrants. But I do believe stopping all immigration is a good way to start the clean up of this country, we can reconsider immigrants in later years after we've cleaned our current mess.

This is a dead subject! Why don't you ask about the Iraqi war widows who are getting their benefits cut in half, to a whopping $13,000 a year! The tax cuts given to 2 of the rich can pay for all of their benefits for a year!
Why anyone would want to die and leave their wife to raise their kid's on $13,000 a year is beyond my comprehension! Every person in the world knows Iraq is over oil! I wouldn't give my life for any of you! You aren't worth it!
Business is not going to allow anyone to ban immigration! They need the slave labor!
Anyone can promise anything, but a president can't legislate!! And it sure is plain as day the Republicans aren't going to do it!

if everyone in america were to vote for a change, then our laws would kick in and we wouldnt have this problem to begin with. if any demo group in america were to vote "in force" with stronge numbers, and holod our politicians accountable for what they do, the the gov would be bowing down at our feet. the way it is now, they can play both sides of the fence in order to get votes, and it really doesnt matter who they p*ss off, as long as they win the election. back in the early 90's when Buchanan was running, he wanted to put 60 miles worth of fence up in heavily travled border areas to keep out illegals and terrorists. he was branded a racist by the public and other politicians because his opponents knew they could get both sides of the vote. now, they want over 300 miles of fence!!!!!. if all anti illegals were to stand up and make our voice heard.. they would be forced to do as we say.

I would be disgusted and probably protest against such a violation of human rights. I like meeting new people from all over the world and many of my best friends were born or have moved to other nations. For example some of my elderly relatives have retired to Spain. I think that as long as people want to be part of a community and be socialble they should be able to come to live in any nation they want.
Over my life I plan to live in several different countries and travel around a lot - I hope to be part of any community I live in and to improve the world. To think that somebody would like to keep me away because they hate anything different from themselves and enjoy blaming others for their own faults galls me no end.

i would not vote for a party like that. societies need immigrants to stay open for new thought and develop, if they all stewed in their own juice they'd stagnate. also, immigrants do not only take jobs and social security, they also create jobs and pay taxes. controlled immigration is a necessity for any modern country that wants to stay ahead of the posse.

No. We should not ban immigration(legal that is) altogether, although we should impose a numeral restriction in relative to our own population, that is unequivocally sustainable and beneficent in the near and distant future. We should be able to grant asylum to those of genuine need.
