BREW won the 2000 Melbourne Cup with K McEvoy as the Jockey. Brew was that time a six year old bay gelding sired by the champion New Zealand sire Sir Tristram renown for producing many top stayers during his stud career and is out of the champion New Zealand mare Horlicks who won a Japan Cup and many other group 1 races throughout her racing career. He is trained by Michael Moroney.
