when seperating the 2..this can be tricky so you have to watch them everyday when their maturing..ASSUMING that they were all planted at the same time which they should have been...males will develop a tear drop shape between every branch and stem.these will become seed pods eventually..it will look like a bud but filled with seeds. A female will have a hair growing between each branch.this will form bud..when you can tell the sex,put a garbage bag over the males and cut it down being carefull not to shake apart the seed pouch as this will fertilize the females and give you typical seeded bud..side note..males usually out number females so if you want 10 females plant 30 plants....cuz the majority will be male

Cannabis is wind pollinated so flowers are not very conspicuous. The male plant actually has flowers that look like little flowers with petals ... the buds are kind of [NFL] football-shaped and when they open they are upside down so that the long anthers hang in the breeze and shed their pollen. The female flower is not very flower-like ... it consists of a green bract with a naked ovary (no petals) that has two long whitish feathery styles. The styles are feathery to catch the wind-borne pollen grains.

Telling them apart before they flower might be tricky. I have heard that experienced growers can tell them apart and that the males grow faster and are more spindly ... I cannot verify this as I have no experience growing them ...
