There is no doubt much beauty in this world and that beauty and positivity is all coming from the Supreme, however every thing here is temporary, there was a time when it did not exist and there will be a time when it will cease to exist.
The death of the material body is mandatory, there is a 100% rate of mortality for the material body.
Material energy is relative and due to the temporal nature of this inferior energy it is said to be illusory but not non-existent.
The next understanding is that there is a superior energy supporting the relative or material energy, this absolute energy is not subject to birth, disease, old age & ultimate death, this is the spiritual or eternal body, that is existing within the material body.
The source of both material and spiritual energy is the Supreme being or God who manifests the mundane or material world for individual souls that desire to exist separately from the spiritual world.
The value of a temporal constantly changing situation as opposed to an absolute eternal situation that doesnt change is obvious and the purpose of human life is to revive the original spiritual nature and ones individual relationship with the Supreme, rather then leave the body in a state of ignorance, with no knowledge other then appreciation of that which has completely disolved.

If you need a god to act decently that is pathetic
Life is meaning less period we are here to reproduce . We evolved A high intelligence to make up for our utter lack of physical prowess to survive
There is not a meaning in life, Beauty it is all in the eye of the beholder I see a lot of ugliness in life .
Who cares about some one laughing or smiling when it is shallow and meaningless .
Why bother about god just try being a decent human being and treating others as you would want to be treated .
is that a difficult thing to ask a person to do?
all the mumbo Jumbo others have posted it is just a translation of a book depending on time and place cultural beliefs etc

You dont need to believe in god, but you should believe in certain virtues. Peace, love, understanding, etc... These things could be equated with god. The people that say that is just saying that life would be meaningless without peace and love, but they use the word god because for many, it means the same thing. Here is a little secret. God wants people to believe in these virtues over believing if he actually exists. if you think I'm nuts then ask yourself if you would kill a loved one if god asked you too. Probably not because you would know that God would not ask you such a thing. First comes whats good then comes god because in essence they are the same thing. Think of all the people that go to church but are complete ******* when they leave. Those people might believe in god but they are missing whats truly important, the virtues that can never be touched or corrupted by man.

Some people DO need a God. It's the reason why religion is still prevalent today. They need to believe in something higher than themselves. Then need not to feel alone when they are alone--like in dying. And that's fine if the world has more meaning to them because of it.
Me I'd rather take pleasure in loving life and those around me--and take it for what it is without attributing it to God.

The reason why you enjoy the beauty of the nature and what He created is because He is with you at all times and why don't you ask yourself where does all this beauty comes from, who could have so much power to creat all this. The rising of the sun, the 4 seasons in a year, USE your mind. THINK and get some info at the library and read the bible. I'm not saying be what I am but try it, you have nothing to lose by trying to believe God is who He is.

Simple anwser no. Some people though are attracted to the thought that there is a God and the way of life that comes with that religion and thus on the faith of it alone gain some meaning. It is often the case that those that suggest that only God can give meaning to life are the ones that are still searching for it.

but maybe not everybody may see the beauty of his children and get beauty on there... as not everybody may laugh when is in the dark. the nature may means nothing for otherones.
and the helpÃng of the good solds is not so important as it seems to be when theres so much evil solds taking the atencion of the wolrd whit his badness. the beliefe in god is a kind of apologize to continue when the life theres no sense. but actually, if there is or not a god, surrely He forgots our planet. you are write. if theres happiness in your life youre in the light. enjoy it an be whit that one we call God.

The reason is defined by atheists.
If there is no God, then evolution is probably true. Evolution by definition is a result of random (and illogical) changes in the structure of all matter, from stars to hair color.
If this is so, then the feelings that you feel for your daughter, laughter, nature, etc... are nothing more than chemicals running through your brain, dancing across various receptors.
For something to really "mean" something to you (other than goofy, accidental chemicals) then you must have a soul to appreciate the thing. Evolution cannot explain what a soul is or why we have one.
God can.

You don't need to believe in God for your life to have meaning. I am not very religious and I think that my life is quite significant. It's just that those who have "found God" speak louder than most about how happy they are with their choices in life and try to sell you onto your religion as well. You don't need to believe in God for your life to have meaning. You just need to believe that what you do everyday is important, and that you are making a difference somewhwere in the world, even if it's just to your loved ones.

The creator has different names in different cultures, but if there were no God, how can we answer the questions that haunt us, why are we here? where did we come from who created all/ then again even the most primitives of us have a belief of a supreme being or great mystery, it is ingrained in us, it is part of the soul, that part that is the Essence of God! We are spiritual beings ,never forget this.
