karaoke is when you sing a song by someone else, while watching a screen that has the words to the song on it.
it's definitely not dirty, and really it's just a way of making fun of yourself (unless you can actually sing well). it's done mostly for laughs. and also commonly practiced at parties and karoake bars on something called a karaoke machine.
which is a cd player with a screen and microphones, so you can see the words to the song and sing along.

Karaoke is an interesting form of entertainment for amateur singers, who want to sing along to a famous artist's song. I would not say that the activity is dirty. Karaoke may differ in each culture. So, this may depend on what place you visit and what people you associate with and what kind of song you sing for karaoke. As long as people do not indulge in alcohol, karaoke is okay.

Karaoke is so much fun. Everybody sounds really bad, ok a few people sound good. You just have a few beers w/ friends and sing your little heart out.

Not dirty, you sing in karaoke bars, sometimes restaurants, they play music and you sing the song. Its popular in Japan and catching on here. You might enjoy it.

Karaoke is where you get a mic and sing songs made by bad pop artists. It's pretty fun... if you're drunk.

Not at all...it can be a lot of fun. It is sort of a sing a long music system that lets you sing along to your favorite songs...give it a try and see how you like it.
