...is a waste of breath.

Do evangelists have to take a course on disrespecting the dead when they preach Revelations 21:8, or does it come naturally?

Grandreal: Revelations 21:8 leaves no doubt in my mind. And how many times have I heard Christians say "if you do not believe you will go to hell for eternity..."?

Jayelle: I sympathize with you, but it is not pain over my father that spurs my questions tonight.

It is the pain I feel seeing so many people who could be caring for each other spending their time hurting each other.

I'm hoping my questions will give them a reason to reconsider some of their choices.

Thank you for your sympathy. My dad lives on in my heart :-)

It is not too late for you, but for your dad he made his choice. Just as my dad did.

To be fair, you didn't tell them your dad was dead.

Though I can't imagine Gandhi and Plato and Einstein being in the "bad" place, and Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson being in the "good" place.

It sounds like something really hurt you tonight, and you're thinking about your dad a lot. Mine died in 1981. I sympathize.

The truth sometimes is a had thing.
There may be a chance in the second resurrection of the dead, I know not for sure.

I think disrespect is a prerequisite for becoming a bible-thumper. Not sure if it's genetic or learned. What do you think?
