What does Starbucks offer as far as lowfat/lowsugar coffee drinks? And whats the correct way to order it so that the Starbucks employee understands and doesnt get peeved?

I basically want something strong and fatfree but I dont want it so bland I would like it somewhat sweet. like soy or something?

Can you help?

if you look at the side of the hot cups it actually gives you the order they "call" their drinks in. the only sugar free flavors they carry are hazelnut and vanilla. but they do carry splenda and other sugar substitutes... but always say what size first.
for example:
"Id like a tall 2shot sugarfree vanilla nonfat latte..."

Can you believe that we live in a culture where someone is worried about “how” to order a coffee?
Just use your most pretentious voice and pretend that you know what you are doing.

Here is another idea. Just tell them “I basically want something strong and fatfree but I dont want it so bland I would like it somewhat sweet. like soy or something”

Starbucks employees don't really care about how you order it, its not a big deal.

Order what you want, you can say no-fat, or ask for it light (like frappuchinos), or for teas, you can ask them to put splenda in it, or ask for sugar-free syrups.

You can just tell them what you need it to have or not have, and they'll figure it out. They encourage you to customize your drinks, so don't feel shy in the least to make specialty orders. it probably is more exiciting than making the umpteenth frappuchino that day.

Ask what they reccomend. They love that, it allows them some freedom.

They offer sugar-free vanilla and sugar free hazelnut. Try using soy or non-fat milk and the "proper" way to order is:

Size, flavor, milk, modifications, drink Ex: I would like a tall, sugar free hazelnut, soy, extra hot, no foam latte.

ask for drinks with skim milk (non-fat) and without whipped cream

if you get iced coffee or iced tea, ask for it unsweetened and sweeten it yourself w/ splenda or sweet and low or equal

you can look at the starbucks website to find nutrition information on all the drinks and foods they serve
I believe it's www.starbucks.com

Starbucks is overpriced crap and stupid lingo that most people HATE. Ordering a simple cup of coffee shouldn't be rocket science. I hate starbucks

I just choose whatever looks good, then ask if they can make a "skinny" version. Usually they'll swap regular milk for skim and sugared syrup for Spenda sweetened types (sugar free).

I had a "tall" (which is their small size) Pumpkin Latte today. I just asked if they could do a skinny version and they mixed it up with non-fat milk. ^_^ yum!

Why do you care if someone making minimum wage gets peeved at you?! They work for YOU!

Just order black coffee... I do.

The hell with that!

Order in plain English and if the employee gets peeved report him/her to the management.

It is the consumer's decision to know his diet, not Starbucks. It is like these who sued McDonald's because they gained weight. Look, THIS IS AMERICA, and NOBODY forces anybody what to eat, IF YOU think eating or drinking at Starbucks or McDonald's will make you fat,, THAN DON'T EAT IT.
