according to the BMI-body mass index being 5'4 and 145lbs puts you in the healthy range (you're at 24.9) HOWEVER if you gain one or two more pounds you'd be considered overweight.

Eating is a lifestyle choice. If you want a great body, dont stuff yourself with chocolates and pop. Remember you are what you eat.

But, since you've got a wedding to go to. Try doing the lemonade diet. it's really HARD but you'll lose a lot of weight and your body will become totally healthy. Keep in mind, this is a FAST-so no FOOD at all while you're on this diet.

try it for one week and you'll lose about 10 pounds.

What you need:
1. fresh lemons
2. maple syrup GRADE B
3. cayenne powder
4. water

squeeze the juice out of 4-5 fresh lemons, add 4 tablespoons of maple syrup, cayenne powder to taste, and will a ONE LITRE bottle with water. Drink ONLY this through out the day. Do this for 7 days and your colon will be cleansed, you'll lose weight, and have more energy.

its hard, but it works.

20 pounds over weight sounds like a lot but really isn't. Diets per say are really not recommended because you are still growing. Making smarter choices and lifestyle changes may be in order. For example, use 1% low fat milk instead of whole milk, fruit instead of candy, avoid fast food. Eat salads with the dressing on the side. Avoid soda which is high in sugar. Use 0 calorie flavored water if regular water is a drag. Always take the stairs, walk to the store or ride your bike. Fast walk 45 minutes a day 5 times a week. Start out with 15 minutes if you have to. Play a CD to make the time go fast or go with a friend. Be aware that most diets end up with the person gaining the weight back and then some. You can do this. To lose 20 pounds in 35 days is unrealistic and sometimes dangerous to your overall health. Love yourself.

Dont push yourself too hard. Loose it SLOWLY and you will keep it off. Start by drinking as much water as you can in a day. Eat as much vegetables and fruit as you can handle. Step away from sodas....lots of wasted calories there. Do some crunches if possible early in the morning when you wake up and again before bedtime. Walk as much as you can, and have fun! You will look just fine...you are still so young. For your health, I promise this could add years to your life! Water alone is an incredible diet tool. STAY FAR AWAY from diet pills! They are dangerous to YOU at your age! They are bad for ANYONE at ANY age! Good luck...you will look fine! If you follow what I wrote, you should loose at least 3 pounds a week. I am guessing more like 3 to 6 at your age.

I was in the same situation as you at the same age a while back. I was 145lbs and 5'2''.

DO NOT take pills, especially at your age. They can mess with your growth. I lost the weight by eating less. I would cut my meals in half and stay more active.

Just so you are aware, that most girls your age will gain weight that would be hard to lose, but this is because you are still growing, and it will get easier once you stop growing, like it did for me.

Just eat less calories a day 1000-1500 calories a day, just be aware of your intake and you will shape out soon enough.

It gets tough at times but if you stay determined, you can do it, Goodluck!

Go to your public library and check out the book SugarBusters. It is a great way to lose weight, the proper way. It is written by 4 doctors, and they will tell you in plain English what happens inside your body when you eat certain types of food. Get the book and change the way you eat. You will lose the weight in no time and keep it off.

Good luck and don't give up or feel bad. Get determined to eat better.

Losing weight actually is a simple equation...consume less calories than you take in... most young adults can lose weight if they take in 1800 calories or less. I suggest you look on the Internet for a diabetic diet and try and stick to it before the wedding... of course any exercise you can do will also burn additional calories and speed up the process...good luck@

just control your intake of sweets and exercise. you are only about 5-10 pounds over what you "should" be weighing anyway. it;s not the end of the world, and you don't want to crash diet. just try and exercise as much as possible if you want to lose the weight in 35 days. pluse, don't forget to leave out carbs that are NOT good for you. good luck

no mcdonalds!
out of curiosity, yesterday i went to the mcdonalds website and found out how many calories my favorite meal has- over 1000!! so if you want to lose weight, or at least not gain anymore, DON'T go to mcdonalds!
