its easy!
if you are jealous its because you are not confident with yourself. So you have desires.
If you want something thats mean you dont have it (first frustration). If u cannot get it, then you are upset, in a bad mood, sad, depressed or whatever (2nd frustration).
Then for feel less alone in your situation you need someone who feel like you so you start to piss off all the persons around you. Nasty!
Solution: Be confident, Be happy and be in harmony. In that way the people around you will be naturally happy as well and everybody will be in harmony with no stupid feeling of jealousy.
note: boys can be jealous too you know!! and can be even worst than a girl!

This is an interesting one. In general....once women have made a sexual selection of a partner they tend to invest a lot more effort and resource into the relationship than a man typically does.
Men tend to invest a lot right at the beginning to "win" the woman then the woman pretty much takes over.
Hence, the more a woman feels she has "invested" the more protective of that investment she will be. That is why women are frequently cited as being the most territorial and aggressive when it comes to seeing off unwanted attentions or involvement of their man with another female who threatens to steal him from her. She knows that the man is basically helpless against female charms so she must take on the competitor female.
Also, women are much more driven to take a man from another woman simply BECAUSE she is with him. This means he comes pre-selected by another female and has high value in her eyes.
After the initial chatting up and wooing men are merely pawns and women control the relationship arena.

Girls get jealous and turn nasty, becuase they are jealous of what you have. They desperately want what you have and they now they can't have what they want. So, as an individual they act like a spoilt child and they turn nasty.

Instinctive hormonal acceleration. Protection of male beast or wish for best accommodation translates into 'get your hands of my bloke or you're a b itch for wearing better shoes than me'. I suppose it is a sort of Alpha female syndrome.
