It sounds like my parakeets are sneezing. Is this just a sound they make, if not, is there anything I can do? Is it serious?

All birds and mammals do sneeze if they have some iritation in their nasal passsages, it could be something as simple as a feather or dust but could also be a serious infection. If it is persistent seek veterinary advice.
A sneeze is an involuntary reaction by the body that expells air from the lungs through the breathing system to flush them of irritants.

Parakeets do catch colds and sneeze. One of my parakeets died of a cold, in fact. :( So yes, it can be serious. If you can get him to the vet, it would be a good thing. The vet can give you some medicine for that.

To tell a real sneeze from a mimicking sound, watch their nose when they do it. If it's a real sneeze, you'll see clear liquid (mucus-?) spraying from their noses.
