I am on the South Beach Diet, and have lost 20 pounds in three weeks. There is a book on the subject if you are interested. Easy to follow, and you do not feel hungry.. You need to give up all sugar products, and all white flour products like pasta and white bread. Also, no rice. BUT, it is really a good diet. Try it and see.

you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Good luck and stick at it.

Here are some tips:
1. Eat regularly. Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner. Figure out how many calories you should eat a day depending on your weight. I am sure that there is some website that will tell you your resting metabolic rate and eat that every day. Divide it up so that the bulk of your calories are before dinner. And don't skip meals. You won't get hungry and won't binge.
2. Exercise. If you don't like the gym walk places that you would usually drive to. Figure out a way to move that works for you.
3. Cut out alcohol - this can be hard but cut out all liquid calories except maybe for milk.
4. Don't make anything completely off limits just try to make healthier choices. And if you want chocolate cake on a special occasion just make sure it is in moderation.
5. Choose things that are lower in fat (but not necessarily nonfat), lower in calories and higher in fiber. If you buy prepackaged food knowing how many calories you are eating is much easier. Places like Whole Foods markets have interesting and healthy frozen food options.
6. Make it about feeling better emotionally and physically not just about looking better and it might be easier to stay motivated.
Good Luck

You might want to look into the Cinch inch loss plan. On most diets, you lose muscle, as well as fat. When you lose muscle, you lose some of your body's ability to burn fat, and your metabolism drops.
The doctors, nutritionists, and scientists at this company drew upon years of sports and nutrition science to create an easier and healthier plan. In a recent preliminary clinical trial, the scientists tested a proprietary formula enhanced with the amino acid leucine. People in the program lost fat, weight, and inches while retaining 100% of their lean muscle.
Hope this is helpful and for the website where you can find all the specifics of the plan, feel free to contact me.

10 pushups, 20 crunches, 50 jumping jacks, and go on a walk everyday. Eat smaller portions of food. Eat only 1 low cal snack a week. Don't count cals or you will go crazy. Even small things can drastically help like instead of choosing both jelly and butter on toast, choose only one, things like that. Just choose healthier foods and don't eat fast. SLOW IS GOOD! Do not use a pill or eat next to nothing. All that earns you is a one way trip to the hospital. Don't dramatize, start out with small steps,it'll get easier. Just choose healthier foods and get a good nutrition, it could add years to your life. You don't need the expensive south beach diet to lose weight.
