I've been working out 3 days aweek for 4 weeks. 55 min cardio and 20 min weight lifting each work-out session, yet I haven't really seen a change in my body, nor have I lost any weight. I haven't really changed anything in my diet, so it's not like I'm eating more...so shouldn't I be burning fat by now?

Muscle weighs MORE than fat does, but takes up less space. So you could have firmed up and even gotten slimmer, but still weigh the same. It's very possible you are burning fat. Your body is not going to change dramatically at first, but do your clothes fit better than they did / do you just feel like you look and feel a little better? ... It's perfectly valid to work on losing weight by exercise, without really going on a big major diet, but if you want to lose weight you should try and cut back on calories at least SOME - like, by eliminating sugared drinks, sugary snacks and junk food.

Its only been 4 weeks, and you only work out 3 days a week, isn't that only 12 days? You will not notice any changes that quick in your body. Not to mention, your diet could probably use a little tweaking! Make sure to drink 8 glasses of water a day! Good luck with your working out, and don't get discouraged, sometimes it takes longer for certain ppl!

Muscle weighs MORE than fat. So even though you are loosing fat, you are gaining muscle which can be a little heavier on the scales to start with, It will start to even itself out soon enough and you will start to see results on the scales. Think of it as feathers and gold. One kilo of fat is like a big lumpy bag of feathers where as one kilo of muscle is like a piece of sleek hard gold (hot and valuable)! So you will notice the difference in you're clothes before you notice it on the scales. Also you may have been eating too much to start with or just too much of the wrong foods. Check your diet. The only way to loose weight is to expel more calories than you take in.
Keep it up, you will get there :)

Hi
Try this plan it really worked for me,so here goes,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

Good luck

Exercise sounds good...get your carb intake down to 40 per day or less. Drink lots of water and use smaller portions. You should be losing about 4 lbs per week.

Muscle weighs less than fat does. You are burning a lot of fat but you are also gaining muscle.
