All I asked was for a basis of honesty in th eraltionship, but for 4 months he lied about his age.

Once a Liar - Always a Liar! Dump him & move on before the lies have a stronger impact.

I suppose you are in your early 20's? He was afraid to tell you his age because he thought if he was honest with you, you would not want to be with him because of the age difference. If that is not the case well than I have a absolutely no idea but if you are completely in love with each other, forgive him and let him know that honestly in the relationship means a lot to you.

well if he lied about his age what else is he lieing about he could be married with kids girlie i would dump him and find someone who is honest with you that is very important in an realtionship honesty and trustworthy are the two main things

Depends on how important those 5 years of age difference is to you... to me it would mean nothing. But anyway... why did he lie in the first place, would make me suspicious what else he is lying about

Look at it this way, if he will lie about his age, he will lie about anything. His age is not important so how does he handle the big stuff??
I would run as fast as I could in the other direction.

My marriage ended because of his lies. I would not continue a relationship with anyone that begins it by lying. Life is too short, and it is not worth the pain.

It depends. How old are you? If you're like 16 or 18 or something, then YEAH. Ditch him, he was saying it to deceive you so he could "get you."
If you're older and closer to his age, then I wonder why he did that? Just ask him why he did it, and tell him that from now on he HAS to be honest with you. And then no more chances. Ditch him if he pulls something again.

well if he can get away with looking 28 then girl keep him.. it will make your status go BOOM!!!! all your friends will be jealous that you have a younger man ( i presume by your question he is younger) not sure!!!! xxx have soo fun enjoy it.. if you really want a trusting relationship then kick him to the curb.. he lied to you already!!!!!!!

It sounds like he's very vain. It's not the worst lie in the world. Check carefully for serious lies, though.
