if you're burning oil use a heavier weight. My Mrs has a 96 altima that she nearly ran out of oil, we now have to use 50 weight oil because she wore the rings so badly.

depends on whether it burns oil or not. have any problems at start up with rod knock ? and details please :) then i will edit my response would use 10-40 summer and 10-30
winter most older cars take 4-5 quarts at oil change if you are topping off check the dip stick lvl and and accordingly

always go with full synthetic motor oil.
