I heard this contemporary Christian song a while ago and one of the lines says "come, just as you are to worship"...And you know what? that is such great advice. We aren't going there to set an image of what is right, wrong or proper, God would like you to worship him in the way you feel comfortable, if that means blue jeans, why not? now I think we'd have some real indecent exposure problems if your comfort zone happened to be nude...some things should just be kept in the privacy of your home...God doesn't say church is the only place to worship either.

Personally, I have no problem with it. But I think it depends on what the norm at your church is. At my church, most kids my age wear jeans on Sunday. There are some other churches where everyone always dresses up. Although I think God Himself probably cares less about what you wear, and more about what you do while you're there.

Yes it is nice to wear blue jeans to church. It does not matter what you wear into the House of the Lord. Your there to Worship and not for a style show. Years ago, the congergations were particular on dress. Now it is more casual and it is Great !!

I like to dress up a little to show respect for the institution and the congregation. Mainly, though, it just makes me feel better and honors the way I was brought up. I wouldn't feel comfortable in blue jeans, but I would never look down upon someone who wore them to church. It's the person inside the clothes that matters.

At my church if they are clean wear them. God will except you no matter if you wear blue jeans or a $ 500 suit. He is only interested in your heart not your cloths.

Yes it is ok to wear blue jeans and have tattoos and piercings - if a person chooses to join in fellowship and freely worships then what does it matter to anyone what girds his loins?!?!?!

If I were ever to be chastised for wearing jeans in a church then I would be loud and obnoxious all the way to the pulpit as they tried to have me forcibly removed from the building. Hmmm sounds like fun I'll have to try it this weekend.

How is it disrespectful to wear blue jeans in church?

I believe it is perfectly acceptable to wear blue jeans to church. God is less concerned with what is on your back, but what is in your heart. Just don't wear disrespected clothing you would not wear at your Grandmother's. Provided you do respect grandma, right?

It doesn't matter what I think, it only matters what you think. Ask yourself these questions and then you decide. Does wearing jeans interfere with Worship? Do you feel it is offensive to God in anyway? What is your Church's view on wearing Jeans? God Bless!!
