we have a female dog that has been in heat and think she is pregenant although not for sure. Shejust lays and is tired all the time, kind of grouchy with the puppy we have, and dont want to be messed with alot. Her teats are swollen although have been told thats not really a sign, her vagina is swollen also, her coat is fuller and brighter and she doesnt eat alot although seems to really go through the water.

Pregenant? PREGNANT Seriouis? SERIOUS
Unless the dog is dead, she lies around. Inanimate objects lay.
How can anyone answer seriously to such an illiterate question?

They are in heat for 3 weeks. The second week is the most fertile and when breeding usually takes place. Pregnancy lasts 63 days, give or take 2 or 3. For the first half of the pregnancy, you will really not see any symptoms at all and think she is not pregnant. Then she will gain weight, eat more, and her teats will be pink and getting fuller.

An altrosound can tell after 28 days. You should go to the vet & have her checked out. You are telling the right signs of a pregenant dog though. Good Luck. Tell your dog mommy God Luck too! I Love dogs!

ok ! i think you may have already answered that. also could be in heat again too. most likely pregnant . give her a check - up with the vet to be sure she's not having complications of some kind. Here's a good site to check out.

heat lasts 21 days. After that wait a week or so. Then check her brests. if there are small knots in her brest then she is prego.

Please take her to your vet, if she is not pg, then get her fixed. Don't know her age, but she may still be in heat. Vet is the answer

Take her to the vet. Also, after this please get her spayed. Usually they eat a lot more.
