Yep. You have to learn to "talk" them out of your mind. My therapist has taught me to find a focus activity to do. I get on the computer. I read a chapter in a cool book. I take a walk along the boulevard. Just make a mental or physical move from the present situation.

It is not uncommon for people with depression to have thoughts of suicide. Everyone has those thoughts from time to time. But there is a big difference between having thoughts and creating a plan to carry out those thoughts.
If you know that you are chronically depressed, my hope is that you are seeing a counselor and a doctor for medication. If your depression is not treated, certain situations/traumas can cause you to spiral to where you no longer just have thoughts, but you also have the plans.
Please find someone to talk to, and get some help. With all of the available help, you no longer have to live with chronic depression, and your life can be a happy one.

Usually not at first, but when things go for a long time uncontrolled yeah. I guess misery likes company, so I throw on some music that helps, maybe some Veruca Salt or Sneaker Pimps usually something that in these circumstances makes an eye well up. People say to go talk to a professional, counselor, etc... The problem is still there, and still exists, so we can talk about it all day and night. If the problem is still there, whats the point, right? No amount of medication or talking about it will make it magically disappear. Like I said, so whats the point?

No, not always. Having suicidal thoughts is a symptom of chronic depression, but having chronic depression does not automatically mean that you are having suicidal thoughts.

Part of having Chronic Depressive Disorder is the thoughts of suicide because you feel worthless and hopeless.
I suggest you see a doctor and therapist - anti-depressants could possibly help, but if you problem is bi-polar and not depression, anti-depressants wont be best for you.
You really need to tell a doctor all of your emotional problems so he can give you a correct diagnosis and be able to treat it with the right medication.

I think it depends on the person, you really need to look inside yourself and figure out why your so unhappy. Talking with friends can help a lot. Just remember if you do commit suicide, you won't ever get to see the happiness to the solution to your problem. All things shall pass, no matter how bad they may seem to you now. Go out and buy yourself a big scoop of icecream, no one can be sad with icecream. Also, find things and people that make you happy and stay near to them, pets are great too, it is important to feel needed and animals love your attention. SO think cuddly puppy, and a big scoop of icecream-Go on-get off ur butt and reward yourself with something sweet!!! Ps.....I love hazelnut chocolate, whats ur fav?

Not everyone who is chronically depressed is suicidal. Please get some help. Some Websites below offer toll free numbers. If you don't find enough help, keep trying.

No! Why do you want to die? I imagine you are beating yourself up about somethings or events that occured in the past. Nobody is prefect and understand that we all sometimes make poor choices and decisions. Those mistakes are not unforgivable.

i dont have cronic depression and i have suicidal thoughts...well i vent been diagnosed as depressed but my counsellor knows that i have episodes of feeling down every now and then.
