If michael was Jesus then why didnt Michael feel worthy enough to rebuke the devil? And, unlike "Michael who did not dare condemn the Devil with insulting words, but said, ‘The Lord rebuke you!’" (Jude 9, Today’s English Version), Jesus Christ displayed His authority over the devil when He freely commanded him, "Go away, Satan!" (Matthew 4:10, NWT).

The Almighty God Jehovah can certainly defend Himself against His chief accuser Satan.

(Proverbs 27:11) Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that **I** may make a reply to him that is taunting me [emphasis added]

The Scriptures show that Jehovah reserves for Himself the right to rebuke Satan. No angel, not even the archangel Michael, has that right.

(Jude 9) When Michael the archangel had a difference with the Devil and was disputing about Moses' body, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him in abusive terms, but said: “May Jehovah rebuke you.”

(Zechariah 3:2) Then the angel of Jehovah said to Satan: “Jehovah rebuke you, O Satan, yes, Jehovah rebuke you

When the archangel Michael was in human form as Jesus, he was careful to utilize Jehovah's Word the Bible when correcting Satan. Jesus never addressed Satan with abusive rebukes. Recall that following Jesus' baptism and forty-day fast in the wilderness, Satan attempted to compromise Jesus with three tests. With what did Jesus answer Satan each time?

(Matthew 4:4) [Jesus] said: “It is written, ‘Man must live, not on bread alone...

(Matthew 4:7) Jesus said to [Satan]: “Again it is written, ‘You must not put Jehovah your God to the test.’”

(Matthew 4:10) Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship...

Jesus did not presumptuously take it upon himself to rebuke Satan. Instead, Jesus skillfully referred to what God Himself had "written" regarding the matter. It was God's words that effectively rebuked Satan, not those originating from Jesus.

He was setting an example teaching his followers that they should rely on God (Jesus' Heavenly father ) instead of trying to fight the Devil alone, the same way we are taught that we should speak to God through his son Jesus Christ because we are not equal to God .Jesus as Michael was an Angel the same as the Devil so he relied on the power of his father to rebuke the Devil , because the Devil knows that God is his creator and more powerful than he is the same way he created him he can destroy him.The Devil was an Angel who had fallen from favor with God because he wanted Independence and wanted to become a God.

sorry, i wasn't there for that particular conversation between Jesus and Satan, but if just simply telling the "devil" to go away worked for him, why doesn't he tell him again so we can start to fix the world we live in. (assuming this Satan character is behind all the corruption and evil that plagues the world today) Oh, by the way, I'm not from the J-Dub Club
