My wife and I are planning a date night Friday night after our 7 year old goes to bed. He's goes to bed around 8:30. Any suggestion what we can do. Obviously were staying home. Thanks for the help.

I have young kids to and know how hard it can be to get time in together. This is what we do... Move the TV and VCR into your room, put rose petals on the bed ( you can buy the fake ones), rent a movie that you both like, turn off the lights, light some candles and lock you bedroom door, instant privacy. Break out the lotion for a massage later, buy some wine and snacks and you are set. I love our nights like this and look forward to them. Hm mm, come to think about it maybe that a good idea, lol.
Good luck

Do you like looking at the stars? This could be a neat, new-again thing. Also liked the bubble bath for 2 idea, definitely some one-on-one indulging depending on what you like - massages, fancy or more "adult" dessert (not Twinkies, LOL...), maybe a movie you aren't comfortable watching with the little one around? Maybe try a candle-lit relaxed convo in a comfy area of the house. Or strip poker, if you like.... be creative! Have fun! Sounds like a great date, maybe you should do this once or twice a month.

If you three will be having dinner as a family before your 7yr old's bedtime then a little dessert time would be excellent. You could set up all different kinds of sweets to indulge on like a chocolate fondue and some champagne. Feed eachother with some nice music on and some candles and see where the night takes you... Have fun!

This might sound really boring, but one of my favorite "date" things to do with my husband is make dinner together, then eat it as we watch a good movie. We usually end up having our best conversations while making dinner, and if you're watching a movie at home, you can always decide when to turn it off...

If you or your wife are good at cooking, try a new recipe. You can make a fancy dinner, and go for the works (appetizers, sides, dessert).
