okay. well first off, i play piano, im in band, i have lots of friends, girls and guys, im taking pre-calculus this year as a freshman, and i swim varsity for my high school. but guys never ask me out. is it because im asian? i lived here my whole life and i just can't figure out why.

Dont worry! freshmans are normally kinda shy! Just ask the guy you like out and take a chance!Itll be okay! And boys are usually nervice that they might get a rejection. If you really dont want to ask anyone out,be Mrs.Nice Girl and be kind and hang out often.Make him notice you. And then when he feels he understands you he will ask you out!And of course be yourself! You are an over achiever and that scares guys off. Men are afraid of women smarter than them. I know from experience. After school, I finally met a man who could appreciate my brains. Stick in there and you will too. Don't make the mistake of trying to play dumb (been there, done that) you can get bored.

Its not you it is us guys we are scared of you girls no matter how old we are. Guys don't know how to handle rejection all that well so we get scared and never ask a girl out. Some guys are just better at it than others. Sometimes guys will think it is sexy if the girl asks them out too.

Why worry about a date? There is plenty of time for that down the road. First graduate from high school..Try to enter college and enjoy life. I didn't date until after college.

sometimes, boys can be intimidated by all of these accomplishments you have achieved. They may not fell they are "up to your level". In this case, you should be the one that starts conversations and let the boys know you are interested!
