Good quesiton- consider this: (Man, I love your quesiton- short, accurate, and to the point)

Judiasm, Hinduisam, Buddhism, Islamic and Paganism all have ONE THING IN COMMON- they all expect YOU to reach up to their god!

Only Christianity has GOD taken on human form and came down to OUR level!

So, knowing this- the next quesiton is to eliminate the false Christian belief with the accurate and real beliefs, right?

Ask innocently enough- "So do you have any other books than the bible?" If they're Mormons, they'll have the "Book of Mormon",,,if they're Jehovia Witness they've got their own book- I've forgotten what its called. Even the Methodists have their own book PLUS the bible.

Interesting, the bible is pretty clear that if you add or subtract from the word of God, theres some very serious curses that God will give you.

So, we've narrowed down to the correct religion, we've narrowed that down farther from cults into the correct religion book.

Now, third item is- what about quasi-religious societys? Such as the Masons? Well the Masons are kinda wierd,,,,,if you study their information you'll discover its actually a form of satan worship.

Follow the money, study their data, seek the truth.

Well, Christianity is the only religion whose leader is no longer in the grave. Since Jesus came back from the dead, and Muhammad, Buddha, and others did not, I suppose that Jesus knew something that no one else did.

--------------------------------
....Fourth, his resurrection is the most crucial factor in establishing the exceptionality of Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Christ was the legitimate climax to his unique life and death. He foretold his resurrection to his disciples directly (Mt.16:21) and to others through parables (Mt. 12:40).

Frank Morrison, a British lawyer of the 1930s, undertook an expedition to collect circumstantial evidence to disprove the resurrection. Such evidence, of course, is admissible in all courts of law in civilised countries to prove or disprove events of which there are no living eyewitnesses. When he analysed the evidence, he reached a stunning conclusion: The resurrection had actually taken place! Morrison presented his case in his book, "Who Moved the Stone?"

Another factor worth considering is the character of the disciples. They were eleven cowardly men who shut themselves in a room after the crucifixion because they were afraid. Yet what galvanized them into action so that within their own lifetime, much of the thenknown world could hear the message of Christ? Some of them paid for this message with their lives. Would they have done so if the resurrection were a hoax?...

You shouldn't.

They are all the same... One used by men as a distraction from the truth and knowledge of the others.

I believe in the wisdom found in all of the above.

It's the same stuff, just worded differently.

If you have a heart for God... You'll incorporate all of the above and find your way no matter what...

Life is a journey. Why not go everywhere before you die and collect all of the best experiences you can from each place that captivates and touches your heart?

I recommend that you will get the most help in making your decision by reading Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis, Walking from East to West by Ravi Zacharias and The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel.

And listen to Larry.

Here's the dirt on islam:

And the only Buddhists I have met are two of the most self-centred, hypocrtical w*nkers (from Glasgow Buddhist Centre), who will say "it's all Maya, an illusion" when the flaws in their charcaters are pointed out to them. Hindus, along with pagans, DO tend to be easier going, but JC is the top avatar. There will be no more Buddhas getting incarnated after him, oh no.

You don't have to just accept it as a part of humanity like all other religion. Accept it only if you believe in it. But remeber, you don't have to and you can't force your self to. Just do what you think its right as long as its legal.

Christianity stole their rituals from all the older religiouns... it is plainly clear.
There is no reason to accept on religion over another unless it is the path your heart resonates best in. If you choose christianity... good luck and i am sorry... but it is your choice.

Keep and open mind and do realize that there is no one true faith. Everyone has a piece of some universal truth... and equal piece. Just try not to be a pompius *** when you do find your path :-)

"I am the truth, the way and the light. No man cometh unto the Father but by me..." -- Jesus

I have been round and round with this question and am happily exploring all religions myself right now. Happier than I ever was as a Southern Baptist.

Because Jesus said this...

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

God said this....

Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

Judges 10:13 Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more.

Only you can decide what is best for you. Follow a religion becasue *you* believe in it, not because someone else pushes a guilt trip on you if you don't go with their beliefs.
