I go through this with my in-laws all the time. I was of a different faith before I got married and they are always cutting it down .
Although I am not of the faith that I grew up in, I chose to give my life to Jesus, and it has nothing to do with any pressure from them. I respect all religions, as long as you have faith and are moral. I don't think God picks and chooses one good or bad religion. There are good and bad in every religion or faith.

I know that what I am about to say will be considered to just be my opinion but I will leave that for you to decide.
Yes, there is a right religion. For those that find it, there is great joy and peace. For those that have not yet found it, there is continued consternation. The Lord will not be upset with you or anyone else that is still looking for the truth. If you continue to seek diligently in faith, humility and sincere prayer, He will eventually lead you to the truth. He does hear and answer our humble, sincere prayers. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Surely the Lord God will do nothing save He revealeth His secrets unto His servants, the prophets.
So what is it you say? The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Look it up and investigate it openly and honestly. You will be satisfied with what you find.

I don't believe there is a god, so therefore I don't see any religion as being the right one. There's also no way he could be ticked at me.

The Bible says that there is one true church, not every different belief in the world can be right. It's impossible. For me when I study Bible prophecy and then watch the news that's living proof that the Bible is true. Everything you see right now in the Middle East is Prophecy coming true right in front of everyone's eyes.
Many will scoff at that but when I read about things in the Bible and see it for myself on the evening news then I'm not about to scoff at it. The "right" religion according to God is to follow Him and his ways. The Bible says that God is love. How much love are we seeing in the world today?

There is no "right" religion. I believe that there are different religions for different people. They all lead to the same place. The differences are what make the world a challenging, but beautiful place.

If the 'right' religion is pantheistic, you could be ticking off whole armies of Gods. If it's Satanism, you're pissing off one bad dude.

Well no religion is completely right, man is not wise enough to perfectly. Religion is more tradition and ceremony man futile attempt to put God on his side and claim superiority. God can and should be worshipped and I believe each is us should dig deep within ourselves to find the one that works best for us

There is no right ‘RELIGION’… as religion was created in the pit of hell to divide men, and create strife: confusion: anger: bitterness: and war: etc!! Which it does so well: and on an ever-increasing scale with more venom!!
God plainly lays out the only ‘RIGHT’ way to him… and it is the individuals, God given right: to use his/her own ‘freewill’: to ‘CHOOSE’ which way they decide to go!! Sadly this is usually the way that ‘Suits Them’ best … and meets ‘Their Needs & Wants ’… ‘NOT’ God’s required measures!!
