I would say there is not an age per se. I would say one should wait until it is right with the right person. It should not be when you are too young because maturity has not set in. I am conservative about this. I really say 18 or over. Kids should be kids and they should date before having sex and have relationships. There is no problem waiting. You can date without it. People can get too hurt. It is not like a woman gains anything because she has sex and everyone talks about her in high school.

It's not what the right 'age' is (unless you're worried about the law). It's the right maturity and loving circumstance. If either or both is lacking--put your mind on your homework instead. If you're an adult trying to figure out when to prey on some young person, pick on someone your own age, please. Young people have enough to contend with besides discovering that they have been someone's sex toy.

There is no "right" age, but I also think if you are younger than 18 then you are not mentally or physically ready to make that step. Most teenagers are really confused around that age, so you don't want to make a mistake that you will regret later on in life because once it is gone it can never come back.

The same age it's right for you to get married. I'm all for abstinence, although it's a dying fad in the US.

Personally I think you need to be at elast 18-19...only cause your maturity level increases to a point where you tend to look ahead at future consequences, and not instant gratification.

Think long and hard before you sleep with anyone at any age, and think is this someone I would marry, or is this someone I want to have kids with, as ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN!

To me the right age to start having sex is when you are a least 21 or 18 but not when ur in school cause then u can't go to college. Or if u want don't do it if ur planning to go to college.

If you are asking, then you aren't ready. You should know when you are and when its with someone that there is absolutely no chance of it not being real. Don't rush yourself to do something that you think you should do. Once you've lost your virginity you cannot get it back. Just remember that the person you give it to, no matter what will always have something of yours. To some people it doesn't mean anything, but if you asking then obviously you care. Don't ever do it when you can't handle the consequences. Pregnancy happens.
