Look back by her tail, if you see a little protruding puppy head, she's ready.

I had a few dogs that have had pups so, I look for her making a bed some were and if you take her away from that spot she will want to keep going there, also see if she has milk in her nipples yet I find if there is milk she could be just about ready lightly squeeze the nipple and see for the milk hope this helps

Her temperature will drop, she'll stop eating and act restless. You should have a whelping box ready for her in a quiet room. Show it to her and let her nest so she'll know where to go when it's time. You should also stay close to her in case she needs help.

One thing I noticed before mine give birth they refuse to eat...try offering your dog a treat and see if she'll eat it. If not get ready for puppies

Your dog will start kind of circling, her temperature will rise and fall, she'll start pushing, and she'll lie down. She may get restless. She'll start trying to "fix" her bed.
