Most don't like to address certain issues. Or they will just address it and that is all. No action or even true thought for the effort for one's self to make a change. They will just debate as if that will solve anything. Change takes action. Society functions with the philosophy of "follow the leader". Would you become that leader and make a change with yourself first? Then that train of thought will be the admired by the next man to the next man and so on. Till righteousness reigns supreme. Mankind is the problem. Mankind should be the solution.

This is a question I would ask one of my friends. This answer would be one that can be spoken on any issue.

"A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything"-Malcom X. Though I know a lot of people don't like him. He had powerfull proverbs. Not of the racist ones.

If Sandy reads this. A computer does not have the capability to correct itself. Humans do. GOD is the ultimate solution. I will not argue with that, but what is HIS "will" that HE placed amongst mankind? If GOD gives "will", what are you going to do with it. Build a computer or try and come to a common solution for a common problem.

If mankind is the problem, how, exactly, is mankind the solution?

If a computer is broken, can it fix itself? That is, if the computer is the problem, can the computer be the solution?

The only "solution" to humankind is something that is not humankind. I.e., God.

All I meant was that computers don't create themselves and therefore are not their own solutions. Humans do not create themselves and therefore are not their own solutions.

What is God's will, and how do we bring it about? Is that what you're asking? God's will, from what I understand, is to let us play out whatever it is we will play out until he returns to do the reckoning. In the meantime, I don't know what his will is on a global scale. It is difficult to discern even what his will is in my life. But I know that I don't have the capability to "correct" myself. I can correct my behavior, but I cannot correct the fact that I am prone to failure (i.e., sin). Only God can do that correcting--and the way he did it was by sending a Savior.

I guess I probably sound too laissez-faire (sp?) to you. It is born of certainty that human beings are fundamentally flawed and therefore any systems that we implement, however philosophically gorgeous, will fall to entropy. This is the nature of things. And so my "solution" to living in this world is really simple: Trust in God, and treat others like I want to be treated. Do I fail at both of these? You bet. No matter how grand my intentions. And this is all I mean: No matter how grand any of our intentions, the failure is built right into the framework of who we are, so we cannot solve ourselves. Does this mean don't try? No. It just means that I try on myself, working out my salvation to the best of my ability through God's grace.

Well if we talk about it for a really long time, maybe it will go away OR Well if we just ignore it maybe it will go away.
You've got to contemplate issues at least. That's why many people end up confused and ignorant in a not very nice world. Certain things you should act on, some you shouldn't. It depends on the situation, but don't ignore it.
