It is not the calories in the diet soda that is bad for you. The artificial sweetener in some (esp. aspartame), may cause some health problems when excessive amounts of it are consumed (anything in excess is not necessarily good for a person). Caffeine in sodas are not good in excess either.

I sure hope not. If so, they shouldn't call it 'diet', should they?
Regular soda has about 100-120 calories per 12 oz can, from the high fructose corn syrup. I recall hearing that if you drink 1 can of regular soda per day, you can gain 8 lbs in one year. Sounds about right.

It doesnt have calories in it but it does have sugar in it that is bad for you.I would just drink water that has helped me lose alot of weight.I promise with the right excercise and watching what I eat you can lose weight.

most diet sodas have 0g fat, 0g carbs and 0 calories.
the trick is to still drink lots and lots of water
(if it has 0 calories and sugar has calories - than it's sugar free!)

it retains more water so u lose less weight, and it makes you hungrier since it tastes like it has alot of calories but doesn't.
