Good question. It doesn't seem like they can just be happy for us. It doesn't make any sense though, because we aren't bothering them, for the most part. Their hatred takes much more energy then minding their own business would!

I disagree somewhat. What I think they have found is not happiness with God but an appreciation of tolerance and understanding. Other than that the idea is great that you could get some people like this however for each person like this there are far more intolerant and arrogant fire and brimstone ones.
Personally though I would feel more than happy with that and allow them that satisfaction without criticising.

I'm curious as to where you're going with this. As you probably noticed, the answers you'll get to this type of question will be resoundingly affirmative: if they are not bothering me, then yes, I will be happy that they are happy.
Just for fun, would you do the same for a group of atheists (& company) who had found happiness without believing in any higher power?
Or would you insist that your version of happiness was inherently better, and anyway, no matter how happy they are now, they're doomed to eternal damnation because they aren't part of your happy little group?

I can't say I'm happy because you are, for pete's sake, I don't know you; if you're happy. that's fine, doesn't affect me one way or another.
Lot's of people who worship God are very busy killing each other as we speak. So I don't think all of them want to live in peace unless they can dictate which God, and which holy book, and what rituals.
I don't meet that many of any group that have respect for my beliefs and fail to see that my happiness would concern them any more than yours concerns me.

Of course I do. We all are human beings, whatever are our believes.
- I am a non-believer.
Quote: "They respect everyone and they don't feel the desire to force people to believe in God."
I would like to see much more Christians (and Believers) who behave this way...

I'm not an atheist, more of an agnostic/spirtualist, but I would definately say I'm happy for anyone who finds inner peace. Particularly those who don't interefere in other people's beliefs. (although almost everyone does at least in some small way)

Well, yes and no.
On one hand, I am happy for them that they found something to believe in that makes them happy and helps them to be better people. Most people need to believe in something, and if they are happy believing in Charlton Heston in the sky, then more power to them.
On the other hand, I feel sort of sad for them. The fact that they need that something to believe in to push them to be good people sort of depresses me. To make it worse, every organized religion has contradictions, fallacies, and moral relativity that are treated as absolute truth. I find it sort of sad that people have such a deep-seated need to believe in something that they will overlook these flaws, or claim they don't exist.

I am happy for anyone who is on a spiritual path and lives the teachings of that path.
I don't completely disagree with any ones beliefs. All religions in my opinion have valid points. We all own our own personal truths and personal truths are valid. (at least to the person that possess them)

Sure, why not? Do you feel happy for atheists who are happy not believing in god even though you completely disagree with their beliefs?

Well, I'm usually glad when people are happy, so I'd mostly feel happy for their happiness, but check out this response (I feel it's, on the whole, relevant):
