I suspect that you really do need at least 1500 people answering. That is considered a "representative cross section" of sufficient size, for national polls and medical studies.

They have a fairly short self-diagnostic test, that tells you what your detailed beliefs really add up to, in terms of what religious category you fit into.

Catholic Christians and Protestant Christians are not the same kind of Christian.
The following link has major religions of the world ranked by size. Since you have already noted that Christian ranked as the most popular, why don't you break Christianity down by denomination?
