about 2,300 take home a month... so about 27,600 take home a year... which is 14,400 a year to federal, state, city taxes, health care, medicare, union dues. etc....
It really sucks when you consider how easy it is to pay 14,000 a year in NY on rent.

Figure your tax rate. For example if you pay 20% of your income in taxes then you net 33,600. Usually you will also deduct retirement plans, health insurance, etc
