I've seen more bogus claims about Islam on this forum than any other media source. Miraculous "scientific" predictions, false reports of celebrities converting to Islam, deliberately denying factual evidence regarding history and Koranic scripture, etc.

Read this question carefully, answer YES or NO, and then explain why. We know you CAN do it. Let's see if you will.

P.S. I know at least one of you will try to "answer" this question by saying "prove it", but that's not really an answer. Look through my question and answer history, and you'll find all the PROOF you need. Once again, here is the question...

Muslims, if you caught a fellow Muslim lying about Islam, would you confront him?

As a Muslim, I would definitely confront a Muslim if they are saying something false. even if that person was my friend.
The thing I noticed about your question is that you are saying that media gives false information but the Westerners use media for their advantage and to bad mouth Muslims more often. The Internet is full of sites by anti-Muslim groups falsifying the Quran by writing false statements, verses, etc. You have to check out the info for yourself before you say it is false.
By the way, there were scientific predictions in The Holy Quran before man had discovered them but for that you need to read the Quran. But only if you read with an open mind and have someone for explanation.
I don't believe in everything I read on the net or newspaper. There was an asker recently who said his answer would sway in the direction of who paid him more and that's what is happening in the west. Alot of people are converting to Islam and therefore there are groups trying to make Islam sound bad because they don't have any other way.
Anyway, I always try to use my own judgement and not others, and that includes family and friends. I will correct them if they are wrong.

Well, I have to confront him, Islam as a great religion doesn't need lies to be well-known, don't be so aggressive Jenny, in this way, you will loose your brightness and seem very week !!
Try to be stronger in asking your questions, by being little more respectful
Peace !!!!

Great Question.
Many Muslims I know, know very little about their faith.
Different leaders stresses different things.
In the Mid East, many Muslims depend on their clerics to tell them the so-called truth about the faith and in many cases, it is false.
As a liberated Muslim, I fearlessly confront my brother,,,and sister Muslims and tell them the simple truth; that islam is about spreading Peace and Love throughout the world...not wars and death.

We're only worried about being on the side that's winning. If we have to change sects and start interpreting the Q'aran differently. So be it.

The only truth in Islam is the Qur'an.

The rest is all between man and God. Whatever your religion.

YES, I, AS A MUSLIM MUST SAY THAT A MUSLIM CAUGHT IN A LIE ABOUT ISLAM HAS TO BE CONFRONTED. IN ISLAM, TO SIT BACK AND LET ANOTHER MUSLIM LIE ABOUT THE CULTURE IS AS IF YOU YOURSELF LIED AS WELL. IN THIS, THE MUSLIM WHO LISTENS TO THE LIE AND SAYS NOTHING DRAWS ON HIMSELF THE SINS OF THAT MAN.
THE HOLY QU'RAN SAYS, "IF YOU SEE A WRONG, CHANGE IT WITH YOUR MOUTH OR CHANGE IT WITH YOUR HANDS".
