Yes. Because if you don't talk and they get proof that you know or knew where the person was at you will be charged with "Aideing and abedding a known fugitive". This is a felony charge and will get you sent to prison. So if you have any information that could help them, you should start singing like a canary. Or you could just take your chances with bubba in the pen. Your choice.

You don't have to talk to any police officer except to give them your name ( and varies in states) your address, social security number and birth date. ( not all of those in all states)

Now the less you help them, the more likely they will be to start looking at you. and if they prove you knew something and this person is wanted, there could be possible charges for aiding the wanted person.

You don't have to talk to anyone from law enforcement if you don't want to. They can ask, but you can have no comment for them. Of course they'll case you out, hound you, and generally make your life a seathing heck...

it is never a good idea to refuse to co operate with the
law. if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to hide.
if you do have something to hide they will dig until they
find it without your help.
