Should I keep ordering it or drop the product?
Problem is it is a very popular product here but a lot is being returned because most people are not used to unfiltered products. Not that this Chardonnay is supposed to be one.

Is it a clear or cloudy white sediment? if it is it may be tartaric acid and it is there because the wine was not cold stabilized enough so that when it is chill it crystallizes and drops out. If it a dark sediment then it could be going though a second fermentation in the bottle and may not taste right. try it if it doesn't taste right call the Winery and let them know that they have a fermentation or sedimentation problem with the wine, the Wine make may not have been informed that the wine is doing this and the shipping department is just reshipping the product. But none the less call the winery they may have another explanation and if they are a good winery they will address the problem or offer you a good explanation you can pass on to your customers.

While your shop isn't technically responsible for what's actually in the bottles...the customers that are returning the product to you will remember the negative experience of having to do so. For instance..."Honey, isn't that the wine shop we bought that Chardonnay with all that sediment in it?" So I don't think I would stock it just because customers have a tendency to remember a negative experience...or put up a sign or something...that says...this product has a lot of sediment in it...Enjoy!!!

Just switch brands if you can't figure out what it is.

All Chardonnay pretty much tastes the same anyway: Oak.

Contact your sales rep. It sounds like there is a problem. If they promise to correct it, keep ordering, if not find a replacement and let your rep know they are losing your business.
