im just looking for a cicuit i can build so i can set my aerial to its max position. Im in the uk

However, all digital receivers have built-in "signal strength" meters. They are not really signal strength meters, but measure the error rate in the digital signal; the fewer the errors, the higher the reading. This is better than a real signal strength meter, because you could point your antenna at a location that gives a high signal level but also gets reflections that interfere with the signal. The real signal strength meter could not distinguish that, but the receiver's error detection meter will.
