Even though I have no clue on what you're talking about, I have an idea of what's going on. By law, your employer cannot fire you if you're pregnant, but it doesn't mean that they can't change your shift. Also, by leaving on maternity leave, it doesn't guarantee that you will even have a job after you come back. If at any circumstances, your employee needs to find a replacement for you due to the fact that someone needs to do your job, you may lose your job and it is legal since you're no longer pregnant.

I'm pretty sure that they will be in breach of contract if they do; if you plan to return to work within twelve months of having your little one, your original contract should stand. Check with your union rep,as I'm going by retail terms of employment, but I'm sure there can't be much difference between the two. Good luck with that, and congratulations on your baby!

They should really be asking you if there is another job within the company that they can redepoly you to.
They can change your contract but need to try and make reasonable ajustments.
Speak to ACAS and just ask what options your employer can give you

my job can change any part of my contract so long as they give me 12 weeks notice, so it is worth while checking ure terms of employment to see if they have put a clause in there which gives them the right to do that,..if unsure try to speak with a union rep,...good luck !!

If you have a contract it should state whether or not they can do that so look it over or take it to a professional for advice.

Yes they can change the contract, as long as they give your job back, what they cannot do is fire you.
