Yes, waxing your arm hair is normal.

Even if you have light blond hair, and you can still feel it if you stroke your arm against the hair growth, then yes you need a wax.

And I suggest waxing then shaving or hair removal creams, waxing is a bit more painful but you need to go to a specialized clean place to do it, I don't suggest you do it if it is your first time go to a pro waxing salon. And waxing results in hair growing back slower and thinner over time.

Shaving will just make it thicker, and yes some people say it will not grow thicker or faster, but it does, and I have tried it! And shaving should be done daily if you don't want to become hairy.

And hair removal lotions turn your skin darker, and that is not nice.

My suggestion, stick to waxing, better results.

its not "normal," but it's not completely weird- I know some people who do it. But arm hair doesn't look bad so I don't know why you'd want to do it. Unless you're REALLY abnormally hairy, but it doesn't sound like you are. It's such a hassle to wax and it hurts... aren't your legs, bikini line, and eyebrows enough trouble? Plus when the hair grows back you'll have stubble. I wouldn't do it if I were you, but if you do people won't think you're weird.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

Go ahead and wax or Nair it. You'll look a LOT better.

PS: it may not be the custom here, but in large parts of Asia it is.

specific, it is common. I wax my legs and palms (yet by no ability have executed my underarms) i'm no longer bushy, yet I want the feel of completely tender skin. there's a product I swear by ability of referred to as, "Nads" (it became invented by ability of an Australian woman, and he or she named it after her daughter, Nadine.) that's a sparkling green gel, and it comes with some specific fabric strips. You tender it on the places you opt to eliminate the hair (while you're careful, you additionally can placed it on below your eyebrows) tender it on, then get between the cloths and stick it to the gel, rub it quickly and in one quickly stream, pull it off. It would not harm, and you'd be surprised at how lots hair will come off. I used to shave my palms and legs yet no longer anymore! solid luck.

Yes, it's normal. If you don't want the hair, wax! You do the same for your legs, don't you.

if you want to, then do it. Body builders wax their bods all the time. I personally think you should use nair or something like that. Might be smelly, but won't be painful.
