i wonder about the same thing.
heres my theory :
hair makes some people look better and of course, everyone wants to look good. they take good care of it so they dont go bald and look ugly.

Living in today's pop culture, it's all about appearance. We have shows like America's Next Top Model, to see who is the best at modeling, using her physical appearance. We have shows devoted to hair, make-up, & fashion. Even way back a long time ago, people wanted to look nice. This includes your hair, because people have figured out a way to change it & make it look the way we want it to.

because it is what people see when they see us. It is a huge part of our identity. You can tell if a person is lazy by their hair, if they are taking care of their hair, then they are taking care of their person. Would you want to hang out with someone that has constant dirty icky hair? eeewww.

My hair is a part of my identity. It's how people recognize me in crowds and a huge part of the image they see when they think of me. Without my hair, I'd feel like half of me is missing.

hairstyles say a lot about a person. If one was to have a clean, well-groomed, fashionable hair style, others may view them more seriously. In the work area, people may also view them as more professional. However, if one was to have a messy haircut with little attention put to it, people may not be as serious with them, or might stereotype them

it makes me feel pretty i always get copliments on my hair ..also i have to take care of my hair to teach my kids good hygiene

some people look bad when they dont do their hair. so thats why they take so much care of it. and its so you dont get bald faster
