I'm a 16 year old female, and homeschooled, so I spend alot of time at my desk doing work. When I'm not doing work, I am usually on the internet chatting it up with friends. The problem is I wnat to start back working out, but nothing motivates me. I have a very nice home gym at my expense. I'm not fat at all: rather slim actually...but I want to feel good again and be agile. But like I said...no motivation!!! Also, I'm always tired. Help!

I was always tired when I was in high school, and I ended up taking a few afternoon naps every week. If you exercise though, you would be less tired because it "gets the blood flowing" (whatever the biological term is for that..) A good motivation to exercise is to go with a friend to a gym. Or just get in the habit of doing short exercises during the day. When I wake up, I usually stretch, and at some point in the afternoon I do a few different exercises with a weight and push-ups and sit-ups. It's really all in the mind though-- you just have to make yourself do it...

If feeling good again, being more agile, and more alert is not motivation enough, I don't know what is! Make yourself do it and you'll get in the habit again.

Also, realize that you won't be slim forever. If you don't get in the habit now, in as little as a few years you could really start to pork up.

Try telling yourself you can't chat with friends until you've done a 30-minute workout. Or make it part of your school routine.

Get up off the computer.

Instead of spending countless hours on the net.
Use your internet time as a reward for working out.
Don't get on the internet until AFTER you worked out.
You'll feel better, more agile, and not robbed on your daily net fix.

Awww darn, now look!
YOU'VE ALREADY CHEATED!!! LOL
Are you still reading this?
Go on. Get.

The less you do, the more tired you seem. Why not take your dog for a walk ? If you dont have a dog, get one ! Go swimming, boxing class, change it up as often as you like. I like to watch music videos when I work out in gym, it inspires me too look good......go dancing with friends.....bike ride, whatever just get moving......yoga is fun too.

Go to >www.Mesmera.com<

Buy tapes or DVDs about bellydancing.

It's fun, and improves agility.

It also improves your general dance ability. think about dancing like a harem girl at the next school dance!

Boys will freak out!
Girls will envy you!

You might get a job on "Soul Train"!

awww, i used to have the same problem. i think that when you start getting used to excercising, it'll motivate you and you'll be able to excercise without having to say "omg, ugh". ya know?? just kind of take it slow at first and you'll soon be able to "feel good again" like you said. =]]
