As far as an all-around/month to month/season to season lure nothing beats a jig and pig. Look at all of the tournaments that have been won with this lure that mimics a crayfish and you will see that it is the lure of choice of most of the top anglers in the country. Of course all of the other lures mentioned above catch fish but the pig and jig will produce more fish year round than any other lure. If you are not sure what a pig and jig is email me back and I will explain it to you and also tell you how to fish it.

Actually I've caught bass up to 4 lbs. using a live nightcrawler with no weight at all off a small boat. The trick is, you have to already know the fish are there and if the water is clear enough, you might even be able to see them. Just lay low and toss your line by a dock piling or wherever they're hanging out under and let the worm sink slowly. It will drift naturally and slowly sink and that's when they'll eye it for awhile before biting. Just make sure you don't move too much or they will know you're there. You also need to make sure not to set the hook too early or they'll spit it out.

well you can fish a plastic worm practically everyday any situation but to give you better chances when you catch a bass feel the side of it if it is cold that means they are stayin down on the bottom of the lake or wherever you are fishing if they are cold then your best chance is to put on a deep diving crank bait that goes the correct dept of the lake, if the bass are really warm and its a really hot day try a bleeding spinner bait (spinner bait with gold or silver shinners and a red and white skirt) if the fish feel kinda luke warm then try a rattle trap and try different approaches like realing fast or slow and throw into cover depending on the temperature

Yes, spinnerbaits.
SLow rolluing thewm right under the surface of the water (1 to 2 feet) around the edges of weedbeds works great. Spinnerbaits are very versatil and can be used in a variety of presentations, from high speed under the surface retreives to trigger instainct strike to deep water jigging.
You also may want to look into ordering "the banjo minnow" online.

According to conditions there are many combinations. I like crankbaits bumping them into underwater structure. But when cover is too thick I throw a tube in there. This time of year I use the worm fished on a carolina rig.

a combination of spinner bait with a dark worm with a chartreuse or bi right tail is a deadly bait. near Lily pads and along edge of weed beds
