My job is accusing me of something, but they won't say what. They claim they have "evidence" against me that they won't divulge until they take me to court. But I haven't done anything wrong. What should I do?

You are not arrested! You would have said so. This is a civil issue it appears. Fist off I am a former LPM (Loss Prevention Manager) so I am not just some fool who doesn't know what he is talking about. First were you fired? If so get a letter of termination. That Will come in handy no matter what happens. Next since no Police were involved or any arrest made (I assume not you never said) They must plan to sue you for damages or losses. If so they must serve you with papers. When you get this paperwork the information on "what" you are being sued for will be there as well as dollar figure they are suing for. Now you can gather your own defense evidence and if need be hire a Lawyer. Now I am NOT taking sides and am NOT saying you did or did not do this. I will say companies don't go to this extreme with hard evidence. Perhaps you were involved In a theft without knowing perhaps you are lieing and you did steal I don't know but this what you can do for yourself. You did not say you were arrested or charged so this will NOT be a criminal matter it will be civil and that takes a great deal of time. During this and once you find out what its about you will have a chance to settle. Hope that helps

Get a lawyer and sue for defamation of character. Use your Union. Do go to the 1st post's website. Fight back. Employees have been short changed far too long.
Even if they have to give your job back move on, they are poison.
Same thing happened to me, now I see it was the best thing possible. I would have stayed with that company till they went bankrupt (which they did) and wasted time I could have been at my best all time job. Make that career, which is where I went next!
If your religious read Jeremiah 29:11, even if not try it.
God Bless!

Get a lawyer and file a harassment suit against your compnay and the individuals who are accusing you. Then they have to show you the evidence. If you did nothing wrong, you can get a nice chunk of change out of them.

Whatever you do, don't quit -- fight!

Do you belong to a union? Get a representative in there to question what they're accusing you of. Have they suspended you with or without pay? And what dummy told you that you would find out when they took you to court???

The other person was right when they said they can't charge you with something if you don't even know the crime. That's something they have to divulge to you so you can prepare your defense.

Have you been fired?
If so, why were you fired?

Did you steal?
If you stole from your work, they can take you to court and try to recover damages.

Your question leaves out too much information/facts, for me to give an educated response.
