I'm real impressed your guys book.
I'll read the True Book Of God Himself. The Holy Bible.
There are only 2 missionary religions in the world. Islam and Christian. Muslims have come to the U.S. for 1 of 2 reasons. They came here to flee the hatred and violence within their own living confinement. or they came here to spread Islamic religion and take this country over, just like they are taking over Europe everyday. period.
Even by Muslim's own words, there is a 1% "terrorists" group within the Islamic religion today. There are an estimated 7 million Muslims in the U.S. now. By Muslims own number crunch, there is approx, 70,000 terrorists here now. Lets drop that number to even 1/10th of 1%. We have a est. 7,000 terrorists here now.
Go figure.

Christians should avoid war were possible, however, God want's us to turn the other check and then stand and defend him.
"2308 All citizens and all governments are obliged to work for the avoidance of war.
However, "as long as the danger of war persists and there is no international authority with the necessary competence and power, governments cannot be denied the right of lawful self-defense, once all peace efforts have failed."
2309 The strict conditions for legitimate defense by military force require rigorous consideration. The gravity of such a decision makes it subject to rigorous conditions of moral legitimacy. At one and the same time:
- the damage inflicted by the aggressor on the nation or community of nations must be lasting, grave, and certain;
- all other means of putting an end to it must have been shown to be impractical or ineffective;
- there must be serious prospects of success;
- the use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated. The power of modem means of destruction weighs very heavily in evaluating this condition.
These are the traditional elements enumerated in what is called the "just war" doctrine.
The evaluation of these conditions for moral legitimacy belongs to the prudential judgment of those who have responsibility for the common good."

Which war????
Just before Jesus was condemned to death, he warned his followers that after he has left them, they will have to see their coat and buy a sword.
While true christianity is all about loving, you don't allow people to walk all over you. Jesus will be right there when a christian fight for his rights.-

They already are so what's your point?
If we're talking hypothetically, then no they should NOT fight in the war (I assume you mean Iraq). If one is Catholic for example, then they are going against the thoughts of the Pope (John Paul II) who said it was an immoral/unjust war. Note though that this didn't apply to Afghanistan.
That said, it is up to individuals to do what they deem moral and just insofar as war goes. Plenty of christians fought in WWI, II etc. And, if you're in the military and you get told to go, well, then you go and do your duty.

Yes they should! Based on Gods word, We are to stand up against evil! In the ten where it says that you shoild not kill, it should have said that you should not murder! I found this out doing research! The scriptures tell us that we obey the laws of the land. In other words, give to the government what is their's and give unto God the things that is his! If the government oversteps it's boundries then you do what you need to do! We are to protect the weak and helpless no matter who they are!

Which war are you referring to? Doesn't the bible say something about not killing other people? If you are a christian then the answer surely has to be no.

the war on terror? it could be classified as a holy war, which would give Christians a justified reason for it to be "ok" to go to war. whether or not they actually fight in it would be their desicion.

Nothing in scripture opposes Christians in military service. God historically used wars to bring about what he wanted.
