okay this guy stared at me a lot last year and did weird things around me, but i never thought he liked me because it was just kinda weird because hes like 3 heads shorter than me.
but now, idk. i mean i walked past him in a near empty hall and he cleared his throat really loud. so i just thought nothing of it, you know hes just clearing his throat. but then i passed him a few blocks later and he was talking but he stopped again and cleared his throat again...
you have to understand hes way shorter than me and hes a sarcastic funny so maybe hes just being weird. but hes never talked to me before and i don't get why hes doing that? please tell me if you know!

Sure, he's trying to get your attention in a silly but nice way. He's not teasing you to get your attention so be glad of that. Boys grow at a different rate than girls so the heighth thing has no meaning.
Though, if he and you were older of childbearing years, say, if he is not quite as tall as you, besides just liking you for you, your extra height could mean he hopes his children will be taller. A guy who has family heredity of male baldness may look for a gal who has men in the family say that all keep their hair well into old age.
But, physical characteristics beyond a throat clearing in school is looking far into the future.
Just take it as he likes you and vieing for your smile.

I don't know why he is doing that maybe his throat hurts because mine does and I keep making that noise but he could just be acting weird. It shouldn't matter that he is shorter than you.

Dear, this doesn't add up to much. Perhaps he is indeed trying to get your attention, so all you have to do is say hello. If he says nothing and begins his immature throat clearing routine, ignore him and move on to someone who knows more than simply how to clear his throat constantly.

He likes you and you make him nervous. He obviously does not know what to say to you, but he wants too. Give him a chance, he might worship the ground you walk on, and you two might have a lot in common and might just have a lot of fun.

I think this his is way of trying to get your attention so you will stop and talk to him. Maybe he is a little to shy just to walk up to you and talk to you. I think he just wants you to notice him by doing this. Maybe you need to make the first move and just walk up to him and talk to him just out of the blue. He might just start talking to you. If he doesn't and just ignores you, then at least you made the first move to talk to him.

i could probably be allergies... the throat thing is like a post nasal drip type thing of your nose draining, and it drips down your throat [my mom is a nurse]. does anyone smoke in your house? it could be that you are getting secondhand effects of the smoke, or are allergic to the chemicals in it. i would see a doctor, or call a nurse on call like at a hospital and see what they say.
