i have just told her i love salad cream and i even have it on my sunday dinner as i dont like gravy, and shes just told me that if she cooked me dinner she would never let me have salad cream on it as its so wrong
do u think this is right, surely if some1 cooks u dinner then u can have it how ever u like cant u,

Salad cream on Sunday dinner is wrong I don't care what you say! If I'm nice enough to offer to cook you dinner then you should have it how i say! My cooking is that good that you don't need to put anything on it!

Im not quite sure what salad cream is...( is it like salad dressing?) but if someone else were to cook me dinner i would be polite and eat whatever it is because its good manners no matter what it is. Even if it is discusting i would still try to manage to eat it so that it pleases whoever it is that cooked it for me. It is rude when someone says they dont like something that i cooked for them. Especially if it took me a lot of time to cook it specially for them.

if she cooks you a really special meal and she asks you not to put salad cream on it, I think you should try to eat it without.
If it's an ordinary everyday sort of meal then she should let you enjoy it with salad cream if you want to.
Compromise, I think, is the name of the game!

How would she stop you putting salad cream on your dinner exactly? Then again how could you stop her putting gravy on it? If you don't like what she puts in front of you, don't eat it...its not like you didn't let her know beforehand.

Salad cream is not that far removed from hollandaise, which can be served on everything from fish to steak.The ingredients are eggs, vinegar, mustard, sugar. Add tarragon and you have bernaise sauce. Good with steak. Tell your food fascist girlfriend where to get off. It is your dinner after all.
