"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"
Matthew 27:46

In reference to the above verse, has Jesus gone to be crucified willingly or taken against his will?

If it was his will he should not have said to God "why hast thou forsaken me?" and he should not have hid himself from Jews because they are supoosed to be making his will come true.

If it is not his will, so he was forced to save us!

Here, Jesus was expressing His feelings of abandonment as God placed the sins of the world on Him – and because of that had to “turn away” from Jesus. As Jesus was feeling that weight of sin, He was feeling separated from God for the only time in all of eternity. It was at this time that 2 Corinthians 5:21 occurred, “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” Jesus became sin for us, so He felt loneliness and abandonment - separation from God.

Jesus went to the cross willingly the night before he prayed to god if there was any other way that he would not have to die on the cross he would like to take that route. however there wasn't so Jesus resigned himself to the cross.

Jesus new he was going to be put on the cross, yet he didn't go into hiding. He was given a chance under pontiouse pilot to go free but he declined. He was willing. the reason he said why have you forsaken me is because I imagine getting put on the cross hurts a lot so he might have been a little bit frustrated.

it was not His will but his father's will and because he was human he did not want to be crucified but because he knew that His purpose was to be sacraficed for man's sins He endured the cross and because He is Christ He could have made himself not feel the pain or not suffer, but He loved His people so much that He died for them. As for that verse, He is asking God why He has forsaken Him because when Christ was on the cross He was carrying the sin of the world and God cannot look upon man's sin. Christ wasn't unwilling to sacrafice His life, He wanted to save man from his sin and fulfill God's plan.

He went to the Cross willingly.
If there was another way that God planned to save mankind, He would not have chosen His only Son.
He didn't hide Himself from the Jews. Who told you that He did?

Jesus layed down His life for us. No one took it from Him. What Jesus did when He died on the cross, so our sins could be forgiven was the ultimate display of His love for all of us. Praise the Lord!!

Of course He was willing. It was a selfless sacrifice reflecting the immense undying love He has for us. There were plenty of opportunitites for Him to get out of it before it actually happened.
