If I were to ever live in New York it would only be for a year. This is because I'd love the shopping and the way the city feels, but I would hate the pollution and the way that there is not enough wildlife.

I would love to live in the city I adore the shopping and the food and the people are cool contrary to the rep they get the only problem is 4000 or around there is too stiff for me but if I could afford it "in a New York minute"....

It depends. Weaker people who need "space" and "quiet" definitely should not. They have nervous breakdowns in the train stations, freak out on the sidewalks then stop and look at their maps, irrespective of if people are walking all around them... some people just can't handle a real, global city. The strong, business minded, fast paced, ambitious people of the world though all come here first. If you're the soft, weaker type, stay away. It's better for us and for you. If you're a strong, assertive person, we'd love to have you.

No way. Not even upstate.
My daughter lived in the City for a few years. I have visited both the City and upstate, and it's okay to visit.
I am in love with the Pacific Northwest of the US and Pacific Southwest of Canada.

I live in Arkansas, but I want to move to NYC for college next year. I want to leave in a loft in the East Village or something. I just love the atmosphere of the city, and how big and exciting it is. Oh, and the Broadway shows.
