While some stress is actually necessary for you to function at your best, too much takes a mental and physical toll. Learn to manage stress levels to prevent anxiety, depression and other conditions.

Steps:
1. Write down everything you have to do when you're feeling overwhelmed. Set a time frame, then block out when you will accomplish what. By divvying up your workload into manageable chunks, each with an allotted time, you'll feel more relaxed about the work before you.

2. Concentrate on one task at a time. Stressing about work you haven't done yet only detracts from accomplishing the task at hand.

3. Manage your energies wisely ' prioritize your workload and put in less effort for low-priority jobs, and avoid expending energy on unimportant tasks.

4. Delegate responsibility and get outside help if you feel overwhelmed. Hire a gardener for your lawn or a baby sitter for your child when you feel pressed for time.

5. Reward yourself for accomplishing things. Acknowledge the work you put in and give yourself a pat on the back, instead of immediately rushing into the next task and creating more stress.

6. Take small breaks during work. Visit a nearby café or take a quick walk, or allow yourself 10 minutes to relax in your office: Close your eyes, strip your mind of work-related thoughts, visualize a pleasant landscape or vacation scene and relax your muscles.

7. Exercise regularly to maintain your health and release stress, or take up a hobby.

8. Give yourself vacations. If indulging in a long vacation (and staying away from work) seems even more stressful, try taking several short vacations per year.

9. Maintain your perspective by asking yourself, "Is the situation at hand really that serious that I should become stressed-out about it?"

If it is the beach, feel the wind caressing your face and the sun warming your body, hear the waaves lapping on the shore and the sea gull crying,
and see the sea gulls soaring and the sand pipers scurrying along the waters edge .

Some helpful remedies:

1)Chammolie tea is known for it's soothing effects on the body
2) Lavender as well
3)Bubble baths
4)Massages
5)Yoga, meditation
6)EXERCISING--this one is very important. It does wonders. You can have a headache, be grouchy, and tired before you go to the gym, and afterwards feel energized and happy. It is a mood and energy booster for sure. I highly suggest this one, because besides the listed, it also keeps you healthy.
7) Play with pets
8) Do something that you really enjoy like watching tv, going for walks, planning healthy dinners...anything you like,
9)Go shopping! This could be dangerous!
10)Talk to a therapist. They are looked down upon, but a lot of the time, it helps just to talk to someone and have them actually listen. That's what they are paid for.

I hope this helps.

The best stress reliever, is time spent in thinking about what your thinking. Stress can leave you looking and feeling lethargic

You are all going to get sick and tired of hearing me say this. For any type of emotional problems, see www.emofree.com

It is the closest thing to a miracle there is. Download the free manual and see if he covers your personal problems. If you don't find it, skip it.

If he does, then spend the $60 for the videos, it's cheaper than an office call for tranks.

EFT is sort of a form of acupuncture without needles. There is a sequence of tapping in various places, and it works for many things. The video shows curing vets who have had PTSD for decades, in one day.

If you want to try the free manual, my son says tap about 3 times a second, and hard enough you need to be careful not to bruise yourself.

I would advise trying meditation..

I run my own business and am aware of the stress life can lead to..Someone many years ago suggested to try meditation and I replied that I simply dont have time to waste half an hour sitting down doing nothing..during a slightly quieter spell I thought I would try it and believe me it really works it gets the tension out of your body and mind it increases the relaxation factor and you get a good wholesome nights sleep afterwards.

Try a simple one ..get a time of day or night when everything is quiet.. put on some really quiet music you like..volume down..sit down..relax your body..all of your body..close your eyes.. think about one pleasant thing that you like..concentrate on that one thing only..dont allow your mind to think of anything else..just that one thing..remember always to relax your body..all of your body..from your head right down to your toes..

At first the concentration may be difficult because your mind is not used to thinking about only one..(thinking of lots of things at the same time increases your level of tiredness)..but please do try a few different times I promise you that you will feel a whole lot better.. Dont be put off if the first time you try you simply cant settle.. try another time..noises may also put you off at first..but with practice you will overcome them..

Find just ten minutes to half an hour someday to try..It certainly did it for me..If it works for you then buy a good meditation instruction book and develop other techniques.

Read a book. That ususally does the trick for me, because when you're reading a book, your mind is off of stress and on what is happening in the story. Good Luck and God Bless! ~
