Basically I'm trying to get to know this guy before we meet up. I have already asked him the basics...family, likes and dislikes, fav. food, fav. movies, etc...I just want to take it a little slow and get to know this person a little more before we meet up. I have been burned in the past and I don't want to make that mistake again. I basically just want to find out more about him.

I would say what ever you feel comfortable with to ask. In the beginning of the relationship the truth is usually told so that is the best time to ask but try to rmember what is said. also remember that it would be a relationship not a job interview so not one question after an other play it cool and you will get the hang of it

I'm assuming that this is a man you like. So on a date with him, or even to just strike up a conversation, try asking: What kind of movies does he like? What kind of work do you do or please tell me about your job? Do you like your job? Whose your favorite author? Are you married/ were you ever married before? What's your favorite movie or TV show? What's your favorite sport or team? What's your favorite food? Any one of these questions can elicit great answers where more questions will come up. Viola - just like magic - all of a sudden you are having a real conversation with this person and getting to know him. Good luck.

A guy LOVES to talk about HIM! Find out what his interests are- and make it your new interest so that u have something to talk about! Talk about his family- his ambitions-his past jobs- anything but the weather! DO NOT ask about ex girlfriends! BAD question!
