im thinking breakfast in bed, and basically just taking the day easy. maybe a movie or something...but does anyone have any fun ideas?

you should give her a full day off. Wash the dishes, cook a special supper, clean up the house, and so on. I would love it if my daughter did that for me without me having to ask her or pay her for it. It shows you are thinking of her more than just trying to buy her off, and I bet she would really appreciate it and love you for it. Also, don't forget to tell her you love her and why, mom's love to hear that from their kids, I don't think they could ever hear it enough. Maybe sit down and tell her exactly why and what you appreciate about her. It is her day, and she should feel special about it. Hope that helps....

Yes! you do something very very special as you only have one Mum. Why not Invite a few of her friends round and give her a surprise party.
Let everyone know it's her birthday hang balloons on the front porch and a big sign telling them. She will probably chase you all around your house when she finds out but.... secretly she will be so proud of you.

I love it when I see questions like this I think it is super sweet that you want your mom to have a good birthday. You should go rent some movies she likes and watch them with her. Your going to have one happy mom :)

That cake is great.. but u can go to the pool, or go eat -out for dinner.. then u can go to the movies... just go shopping and have a great day...

Well your doin pretty good so far but to reely spice it up throw her a light party with some of her friends try and make it surprise make it coulourful,full of life and jazzy....

Do you have a theatre in your area (for plays, operettas, musicals, etc.)? Mom's love that stuff, well at least my mom does. Take her to dinner and a musical/play.

I took my mom one year to get her nails done. I also went tieh her and after she was done we went to lunch. We had a great time.
