THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIE RECIPE IN THE WORLD!
(A lady paid $250.00 for this recipe - but didn't know it till she got the bill from Neiman Marcus restaurant. When she asked for the recipe, the waitress said it would cost her "two fifty!")
2 cups butter
24 oz. chocolate chips
4 cups flour
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 cups sugar
1 8 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
5 cups blended oatmeal
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
Measure oatmeal, and blend in a blender to a fine powder. Cream the
butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour,
oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey
Bar, and nuts. Roll into balls, and place two inches apart on a cookie
sheet.Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies.

Makes 72 cookies (depending on size of cookies)
Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups butter, softened
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages vanilla instant pudding mix (I used the regular kind once and it worked fine, also used chocolate and it was fine)
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped walnuts (I left these out)
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Sift together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar.
4. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended.
5. Stir in the eggs and vanilla.
Mixture will be pretty thick!
6. Blend in the flour mixture.
7. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts (if you use them).
8. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.

The tollhouse recipe with nuts is my fave. It is on the back of the chocolate chip bag.
If you are in a hurry though, or don't want to make a lot because you will eat it all try the Betty Crocker cookie envelopes.

The best one I've found is on the bag of Nestle chocolate chips! Also, use real butter instead of margarine!

The one printed on the bag of Nestles semisweet morsels is really unbeatable--you don't need any fancy bells and whistles--just pure, simple, toll house cookies.
